Track Characteristics

The Streets of Arlington burst onto the IndyCar calendar in 2026 as the series' newest and most ambitious street circuit. At 2.73 miles, it is longer than any other IndyCar street circuit and longer than every permanent road course on the schedule except Road America. The track weaves between two of America's most iconic sporting venues: AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, and Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers.

The defining feature is the massive 0.9-mile main straightaway, the longest IndyCar encounters on any street or road course. This enormous straight produces colossal slipstreaming battles and heavy braking zones that reward bravery. The contrast between this high-speed section and the technical horseshoe section adjacent to AT&T Stadium demands versatility from both car and driver.

The circuit was designed by Tony Cotman of NZR Consulting, who also created the Nashville and Detroit street layouts. His design incorporates a split pit lane, a rare feature that adds a strategic element to pit stop sequences. The inaugural 2026 race was a sold-out success, with Kyle Kirkwood winning a thrilling debut event that validated the investment from Penske Entertainment, the Dallas Cowboys, and REV Entertainment.
