Biography
Felix Rosenqvist arrived in the NTT IndyCar Series already carrying an extraordinary international racing resume. Born in Varnamo, Sweden, Rosenqvist built his reputation in Europe as one of the most versatile drivers of his generation. He won the 2015 European Formula 3 Championship with a dominant campaign that included 13 victories and 17 pole positions. He also claimed multiple Macau Grand Prix victories, establishing himself as one of the most talented drivers in junior single-seaters.
Before crossing the Atlantic, Rosenqvist competed in Formula E, where he won three races and finished third in the 2016-17 championship. His ability to adapt to different types of cars and racing formats has been a hallmark of his career. When he joined Chip Ganassi Racing for the 2019 IndyCar season, he made an immediate impression by winning Rookie of the Year honors, beating out several other talented newcomers.
Rosenqvist scored his first IndyCar victory at Road America in 2020, a race that showcased his natural speed on road courses. He spent time with both Ganassi and Arrow McLaren SP before finding a new home at Meyer Shank Racing, where he races the No. 60 Honda alongside teammate Marcus Armstrong. Now in his eighth IndyCar season, Rosenqvist brings a level of experience and consistency that is invaluable to the MSR operation.
At 34, Rosenqvist remains one of the fastest qualifiers in the field, as evidenced by his six career pole positions. His combination of raw speed in qualifying and racecraft honed across multiple disciplines makes him a driver who can challenge for wins on any given weekend. The 2026 season represents an opportunity for Rosenqvist to build on the momentum of a strong 2025 campaign in which he finished sixth in the championship.
