Ed Carpenter is the rare individual who wears two hats in the NTT IndyCar Series - team owner and driver. Born and raised in Indianapolis, Carpenter has deep roots in American motorsport. He is the stepson of Tony George, the former president of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and founder of the Indy Racing League. Carpenter attended Butler University in Indianapolis, where he earned a marketing degree before pursuing racing full-time.
