Biography
Chase Briscoe is a dirt track racer from small-town Indiana who has worked his way into one of NASCAR's premier rides. Born in Mitchell, Indiana, Briscoe grew up racing sprint cars on the local short tracks that dot the Midwest landscape. His move to Joe Gibbs Racing to drive the No. 19 Toyota represents a significant step up in his career, putting him in equipment capable of competing for wins and championships on a weekly basis.
Briscoe first made his name in the Xfinity Series with Stewart-Haas Racing, winning nine races over two seasons and establishing himself as one of the series' top talents. His promotion to the Cup level came with SHR, where he earned his first Cup win at Phoenix in 2022 - a victory that punched his ticket to the playoff round. When Stewart-Haas Racing closed at the end of 2024, Briscoe secured a move to JGR.
The transition to JGR has given Briscoe his best equipment yet, and the results have followed. His dirt track background gives him excellent car control, and his willingness to learn from veteran teammates like Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell has accelerated his development. At 31, Briscoe is in a prime position to establish himself as a consistent contender with one of the sport's most successful organizations behind him.
